Non-Profit Charity Policy:

Southland Mall offers the use of our Community Kiosk to non-profit groups on a first-come, first-served basis.

To qualify, a non-profit group wanting to book space in the Kiosk must be a CHARITABLE OR CHARITABLE-LIKE ORGANIZATION. By defining the requirement this way, we do not exclude non-registered charities like the Kinsmen or local Elks lodges from obtaining space, as their primary purpose is indeed charitable.

The primary purpose of being in our Centre MUST be to raise money for charity. If someone says they will donate any profits left over to charity (ie: after expenses), they do not fit our criteria.

Charitable or charitable-like organizations can book our Kiosk:

• not more than three bookings per calendar year

• not during October 15th – January 15th (Christmas shopping season)

• not more than once every six weeks
  

Fundraising is allowed by selling raffle tickets. No other selling is allowed without the express written permission of Southland management. Non-profit groups cannot use the Non-Profit Kiosk to obtain memberships or registration.

The Licensee shall take out and keep in force during the Term, comprehensive insurance of the type commonly called general public liability, wherein the Landlord, GORDON ROAD PROPERTY HOLDINGS INC., RETROCOM L.P., AND ARCTURUS REALTY CORPORATION. and which shall include coverage for personal liability, contractual liability, tenant’s legal liability, non-owned automobile liability, bodily injury, death, and property damage, all on an occurrence with respect to the business carried on in or from the Premises and the Licensee’s use and occupancy of the Premises and of any other part of the Centre, with coverage for any one occurrence or claim of not less than Five Million Dollars ($5,000,000.00).

Two (2) weeks before setting up in the Kiosk, users must sign and return:

• a Booking & Licensing Agreement

• a Vehicle Agreement (if applicable)

• proof of sufficient insurance

• proof of Non-profit Incorporation

• proof of Lottery License 
  

Verbal or telephone requests will not be considered. Organizations wishing to book space must submit their request in writing with three date preferences to:
